สถานการณ์โลกปัจจุบันของเรามีการเปลี่ยนแปลงอยู่เสมอ ไม่ว่าจะเป็นเรื่องจำนวนประชากร สภาพแวดล้อม ทรัพยากรธรรมชาติ โรคระบาด ล้วนส่งผลต่อการสร้างความยั่งยืนในอนาคต โดยเฉพาะอย่างยิ่ง ทางด้านอาหาร ซึ่งหากสังเกตจะพบว่า ช่วงไม่กี่ปีมานี้ผู้บริโภคให้ความสำคัญกับอาหารเพื่อสุขภาพมากขึ้น กระบวนการผลิตที่เป็นมิตรกับสิ่งแวดล้อม และตอบโจทย์ผู้บริโภคที่ยังตัดใจจากเนื้อสัตว์ไม่ได้ จึงเป็นที่มาของ “อาหารอนาคต (Future Food)” ที่หลายคนคุ้นเคยคือ “Plant-based” หรือ “Plant-based Food” ที่ทำจากพืช (ผัก ผลไม้ เห็ด และธัญพืชต่าง ๆ)The current global situation is constantly changing, whether it be demographics, environmental conditions, natural resources, or epidemics – all affecting the creation of future sustainability. This leads to the concept of “Future Food,” commonly recognized as “Plant-based” or “Plant-based Food” made from plants (vegetables, fruits, mushrooms, and various grains).

อาหารแห่งอนาคต หรือ Future Food ที่หลายคนรู้จัก คงหนีไม่พ้น Plant-based Meat, สมุนไพร หรือแม้แต่แหล่งโปรตีนจากแมลง เช่น จิ้งหรีด แต่รู้หรือไม่ว่ายังมีอีกหนึ่งแมลงที่นอกจากจะเป็นโอกาสในการพัฒนาให้เป็นแหล่งโปรตีนแล้ว ยังเป็นโอกาสของภาคอุตสาหกรรม รวมถึงช่วยขับเคลื่อนโมเดลเศรษฐกิจแบบ BCG และเศรษฐกิจประเทศให้เติบโตได้อีกด้วย แมลงชนิดนี้เรียกว่า Black Soldier Fly หรือที่เรียกกันทั่วไปว่า “แมลง BSF” มีลักษณะสีดำ จัดเป็นแมลงโปรตีนชนิดหนึ่ง ยังไม่มีชื่อสามัญไทยเป็นทางการจึงถูกเรียกชื่อหลากหลาย เช่น แมลงวันลาย หนอนแมลงวันลาย แมลงวันดำ แมลงทหารเสือดำ แต่ก็มีนักวิจัยและนักวิชาการบางกลุ่มเรียกอีกชื่อว่า “แมลงโปรตีน” เพื่อลดความรู้สึกน่ารังเกียจลงนั่นเองFuture Food, known to many, includes Plant-based Meat, herbs, or even protein sources from insects such as crickets. However, did you know that there is another insect that not only offers the opportunity to develop as a protein source but also presents opportunities for the industry while driving the BCG economic model and the growth of the country's economy? This insect is called the Black Soldier Fly (BSF), which is commonly known as “BSF.” It is characterized by its black color and categorized as a type of protein insect. As there is currently no official Thai common name, it is referred to by various names such as striped fly, striped maggot, black fly, and black soldier fly. However, some researchers and academics refer to it as “protein insect” to reduce the feeling of disgust associated with it.

อาหารเป็นหนึ่งในปัจจัยสี่ที่มีความสำคัญและจำเป็นต่อการดำรงชีวิต มนุษย์ส่วนใหญ่สามารถดำรงชีวิตอยู่ได้ในระยะเวลา 7-10 วันเท่านั้น โดยปราศจากอาหารหล่อเลี้ยงร่างกาย แต่คุณทราบหรือไม่ว่า เรากำลังเผชิญกับภาวะที่เรียกว่า “วิกฤตอาหารโลก (Global Food Crisis)” ซึ่งเป็นปัญหาที่ใหญ่ที่สุดในประวัติศาสตร์ของมนุษย์โลก โดยธนาคารโลก (World Bank) ได้ระบุว่า วิกฤตอาหารโลกได้เริ่มขึ้นแล้วตั้งแต่ปี 2565 ที่ผ่านมา นอกจากนี้ จากรายงานของ Global Report on Food Crises 2022 ล่าสุดระบุว่า ประชากรเกือบ 193 ล้านคน ใน 53 ประเทศ กำลังเผชิญกับปัญหาความไม่มั่นคงด้านอาหารอย่างเฉียบพลัน ซึ่งเพิ่มขึ้นจากปีที่ผ่านมาเกือบ 40 ล้านคน อันเป็นผลพวงมาจากปัจจัยหลายอย่างFood is one of the four essential factors necessary for survival. Most humans can only survive for 7-10 days without nourishment. But did you know that we are facing a situation known as the “Global Food Crisis”? This is the most significant problem in the history of mankind. The World Bank has stated that the Global Food Crisis began in the year 2022. Additionally, the recent Global Report on Food Crises 2022 indicates that nearly 193 million people across 53 countries are facing acute food insecurity, an increase of nearly 40 million people from the previous year, resulting from various factors.
