เมื่อวันที่ 28 พฤษภาคม 2567 นางสาวเพชรรัตน์ เอกแสงกุล รองประธานสภาอุตสาหกรรมแห่งประเทศไทย (ส.อ.ท.) พร้อมด้วย ดร.จิราภรณ์ วิริยะพงษากุล กรรมการบริหาร ส.อ.ท. เข้าร่วมงานรับประทานอาหารกลางวัน เพื่อสร้างเครือข่ายกับคณะวิสาหกิจจีน (Networking Lunch) ในโอกาสเดินทางเยือนประเทศไทย เพื่อสำรวจโอกาสการลงทุนใน “โครงการพัฒนาโครงสร้างพื้นฐานด้านการคมนาคมขนส่งเพื่อพัฒนาระเบียงเศรษฐกิจภาคใต้ เพื่อเชื่อมโยงการขนส่งระหว่างอ่าวไทยและอันดามัน” หรือ “โครงการแลนด์บริดจ์” (Land Bridge) ณ ห้อง Meka 2 โรงแรมแกรนด์ เซนเตอร์ พอยต์ สุรวงศ์ กรุงเทพฯ
งานในครั้งนี้ จัดโดยสถานกงสุลใหญ่ ณ นครเฉิงตู สืบเนื่องจากเมื่อครั้งที่นายเศรษฐา ทวีสิน นายกรัฐมนตรีของไทย ได้หารือกับรัฐมนตรีการต่างประเทศของสาธารณรัฐประชาชนจีนเกี่ยวกับโครงการแลนด์บริดจ์ และเชิญชวนให้นักลงทุนจีนเข้ามาลงทุนในโครงการดังกล่าว ล่าสุดสมาคมส่งเสริมเศรษฐกิจและการค้าหนึ่งแถบหนึ่งเส้นทางของมณฑลเสฉวน นำโดย Mr.Li DongChuan เลขาธิการสมาคมฯ ประสงค์ที่จะนำคณะวิสาหกิจจีน ซึ่งประกอบด้วยนักลงทุนด้านการออกแบบและก่อสร้างทางรถไฟ ถนน ท่าเรือและสะพาน เดินทางเยือนไทยในครั้งนี้ เพื่อลงพื้นที่สำรวจความเป็นไปได้ในการลงทุนในโครงการ และใช้โอกาสนี้ในการเข้าพบผู้บริหารกระทรวงคมนาคมของไทย รวมทั้งผู้บริหารและหน่วยงานที่เกี่ยวข้องในจังหวัดระนองและจังหวัดชุมพร ตลอดจนสำรวจท่าเรือน้ำลึกในพื้นที่ และหารือกับธนาคารพาณิชย์ของไทย เพื่อสร้างเครือข่ายกับสมาคมการค้าและอุตสาหกรรมในไทย
ทั้งนี้ ผู้แทน ส.อ.ท. ได้แนะนำบทบาทและภารกิจของ ส.อ.ท. ให้คณะวิสาหกิจจีนได้รับทราบ เพื่อสร้างเครือข่ายความร่วมมือของภาคเอกชนที่จะมีร่วมกันในอนาคต

On May 28, 2024, Ms. Pechrat Ekasangkul, Vice President of the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI), along with Dr. Jiraporn WiriyaPhongsakun, FTI Executive Board Member, participated in a networking lunch with a Chinese business delegation during their visit to Thailand to explore investment opportunities in the "Southern Economic Corridor Infrastructure Development Project to Connect Transportation between the Gulf of Thailand and the Andaman Sea," or the "Land Bridge" project at Meka 2, Grand Center Point Surawong Hotel, Bangkok.
This event was organized by the Consulate General in Chengdu, following discussions between Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China regarding the Land Bridge project, inviting Chinese investors to participate in this initiative. Recently, the Sichuan One Belt One Road Economic and Trade Promotion Association, led by Mr. Li DongChuan, Secretary-General of the Association, expressed interest in bringing a group of Chinese businesses, including investors in railway, road, port, and bridge design and construction, to Thailand to assess the feasibility of investing in the project and to meet with executives from Thailand’s Ministry of Transport, as well as relevant executives and agencies in Ranong and Chumphon provinces, exploring deep-sea ports in the region and discussing with Thai commercial banks to establish networks with trade and industry associations in Thailand.
Furthermore, FTI representatives introduced the roles and missions of FTI to the Chinese business delegation to foster networks of cooperation among private sectors for future collaboration.
