เมื่อวันพฤหัสบดีที่ 20 กุมภาพันธ์ 2568 นายเกรียงไกร เธียรนุกุล ประธานสภาอุตสาหกรรมแห่งประเทศไทย (ส.อ.ท.) ได้รับคำเชิญจากนางสาวแพทองธาร ชินวัตร นายกรัฐมนตรีของไทยในการเข้าร่วมงานเลี้ยงรับรอง เพื่อเป็นเกียรติแก่นายสอนไซ สีพันดอน นายกรัฐมนตรี สาธารณรัฐประชาธิปไตยประชาชนลาวและภริยา ในโอกาสเยือนไทยอย่างเป็นทางการ ในฐานะแขกของรัฐบาล (Official Visit) ณ ตึกสันติไมตรี (หลังนอก) ทำเนียบรัฐบาล
การเยือนครั้งนี้ถือเป็นโอกาสสำคัญในการเริ่มต้นเฉลิมฉลองครบรอบ 75 ปี ความสัมพันธ์ทางการทูตไทย-ลาว โดยทั้งสองประเทศได้เน้นย้ำถึงมิตรภาพและความร่วมมือที่ใกล้ชิดระหว่างกัน โดยไทยพร้อมส่งเสริมความร่วมมือที่ใกล้ชิดยิ่งขึ้นใน 3 ด้านหลัก ได้แก่ 1) การสร้างความมั่นคงชายแดนให้ปราศจากปัญหาอาชญากรรมข้ามชาติ เช่น ยาเสพติด การค้ามนุษย์ และการหลอกลวงทางออนไลน์ (Online Scam) 2) การส่งเสริมเศรษฐกิจเพื่อยกระดับคุณภาพชีวิตของประชาชนทั้งสองประเทศ และ 3) การเสริมสร้างสายสัมพันธ์ระหว่างประชาชนไทยและ สปป. ลาวให้แน่นแฟ้นยิ่งขึ้น เพื่อให้ทั้งสองประเทศพัฒนาและก้าวหน้าไปพร้อมกันอย่างยั่งยืน
ขณะเดียวกัน ทั้งสองฝ่าย ยังได้แลกเปลี่ยนความเห็นเกี่ยวกับสถานการณ์และความร่วมมือในระดับภูมิภาคและระหว่างประเทศ โดยไทยพร้อมร่วมมือกับ สปป. ลาว อย่างใกล้ชิด โดยเฉพาะในกรอบอนุภูมิภาคลุ่มแม่น้ำโขงและกรอบอาเซียน เพื่อส่งเสริมผลประโยชน์และแก้ไขปัญหาที่ภูมิภาคเผชิญร่วมกันต่อไป
On Thursday, February 20, 2025, Mr. Kriangkrai Thiennukul, Chairman of the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI), received an invitation from Ms. Pa Thongtarn Shinawatra, the Prime Minister of Thailand, to attend a reception in honor of Mr. Sonexay Siphandone, the Prime Minister of the Lao People's Democratic Republic, and his spouse, on the occasion of their official visit to Thailand as guests of the government at the Santimaitri Building (outer section) of the Government House.
This visit marks an important opportunity to begin celebrating the 75th anniversary of Thai-Laotian diplomatic relations, with both countries emphasizing the friendship and close cooperation between them. Thailand is prepared to enhance closer collaboration in three main areas: 1) ensuring border security free from transnational crimes such as drug trafficking, human trafficking, and online scams; 2) promoting economic development to improve the quality of life for the citizens of both countries; and 3) strengthening the ties between the Thai and Lao peoples to ensure that both countries develop and progress sustainably together.
Simultaneously, both parties exchanged views on the regional and international situation and cooperation, with Thailand ready to work closely with the Lao PDR, particularly within the framework of the Mekong subregion and ASEAN, to promote mutual interests and address the shared challenges faced by the region.
