เมื่อวันที่ 25 กุมภาพันธ์ 2568 นายเกรียงไกร เธียรนุกุล ประธานสภาอุตสาหกรรมแห่งประเทศไทย (ส.อ.ท.) พร้อมด้วยนายชาติชาย พานิชชีวะ นายอสิ ตัณสถิตย์ และนายปรนนท์ ฐิตะวรรโณ รองประธาน ส.อ.ท. เข้าร่วมงานเลี้ยงรับรองหน่วยงานที่เกี่ยวข้องด้านเศรษฐกิจของไทยและฝรั่งเศส โดยมีนายฌ็อง-โกลด ปวงเบิฟ (H.E. Mr. Jean-Claude Poimboeuf) เอกอัครราชทูตฝรั่งเศสประจำประเทศไทย เป็นเจ้าภาพ ณ ทำเนียบเอกอัครราชทูต
งานเลี้ยงดังกล่าวเป็นส่วนหนึ่งของการเฉลิมฉลองความสัมพันธ์ไทย-ฝรั่งเศส วาระครบรอบ 340 ปี ของการติดต่อครั้งแรกระหว่างสยามกับฝรั่งเศส ในปี 2568 และในวาระโอกาสครบรอบ 170 ปี แห่งการสถาปนาความสัมพันธ์ทางการทูตอย่างเป็นทางการระหว่างไทยกับฝรั่งเศส ในปี 2569 โดยทางฝรั่งเศสมีความยินดีที่ประเทศไทยอยู่ระหว่างการเจรจาเขตการค้าเสรี (FTA) ไทย-สหภาพยุโรป ซึ่งจะเป็นโอกาสในการส่งเสริมการค้าระหว่างกันให้มากยิ่งขึ้น
On February 25, 2025, Mr. Kriangkrai Theeranukul, Chairman of the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI), along with Mr. Chatchai Panichcheewa, Mr. Asi Tansathit, and Mr. Pranot Thitavanno, FTI Vice Chairman, attended the reception for agencies related to Thai and French economic affairs, hosted by H.E. Mr. Jean-Claude Poimboeuf, the French Ambassador to Thailand, at the Ambassador's residence.
The reception was part of the celebration of Thai-French relations, marking the 340th anniversary of the first contact between Siam and France in 2025 and the occasion of the 170th anniversary of the establishment of official diplomatic relations between Thailand and France in 2026. France expressed its pleasure that Thailand is currently negotiating a Free Trade Agreement (FTA) between Thailand and the European Union, which will provide an opportunity to further enhance trade between the two parties.
