วันจันทร์ที่ 19 พฤษภาคม 2568 นายเกรียงไกร เธียรนุกุล ประธานสภาอุตสาหกรรมแห่งประเทศไทย (ส.อ.ท.) ได้รับคำเชิญจากนางสาวแพทองธาร ชินวัตร นายกรัฐมนตรีของไทย ในการเข้าร่วมงานเลี้ยงรับรอง เพื่อเป็นเกียรติแก่นายปราโบโว ซูบียันโต (H.E. Mr. Prabowo Subianto) ประธานาธิบดีแห่งสาธารณรัฐอินโดนีเซีย ในการเยือนประเทศไทยอย่างเป็นทางการในฐานะแขกของรัฐบาล ซึ่งเป็นการเยือนในรอบ 20 ปี ในโอกาสครบรอบ 75 ปี การสถาปนาความสัมพันธ์ทางการทูตไทย-อินโดนีเซีย ณ ตึกสันติไมตรี (หลังนอก) ทำเนียบรัฐบาล
การเยือนประเทศไทยในครั้งนี้ ผู้นำทั้งสองได้หารือข้อราชการเต็มคณะ ภายใต้กลไก Leaders’ Consultation ครั้งแรก ซึ่งเป็นกลไกที่ไทยริเริ่มขึ้น เพื่อส่งเสริมให้ผู้นำได้หารือกันอย่างสม่ำเสมอ พร้อมผลักดันความร่วมมือระหว่างกันให้คืบหน้าได้รวดเร็วยิ่งขึ้น โดยเฉพาะด้านความมั่นคง การค้าและการลงทุน ความมั่นคงทางอาหาร การท่องเที่ยว การศึกษา การแลกเปลี่ยนในระดับประชาชน และความร่วมมือในระดับภูมิภาค และร่วมเป็นสักขีพยานในพิธีแลกเปลี่ยนบันทึกความเข้าใจระหว่างหน่วยงานของไทยและอินโดนีเซีย จำนวน 1 ฉบับ คือ MOU ระหว่างกระทรวงสาธารณสุขกับ กระทรวงสาธารณสุขแห่งสาธารณรัฐอินโดนีเซียว่าด้วยความร่วมมือด้านสาธารณสุข
สำหรับความสัมพันธ์ทางเศรษฐกิจระหว่างกัน ในปี 2567 การค้าระหว่างไทยกับอินโดนีเซียมีมูลค่าสูงถึง 18,000 ล้านดอลลาร์สหรัฐ และด้วยขนาดของตลาด และศักยภาพของทั้งสองประเทศ จะมีโอกาสที่เศรษฐกิจระหว่างกันจะเติบโตขึ้นอีกในระยะต่อไป
On Monday, May 19, 2025, Mr. Kreangkrai Theeranukul, President of the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI), was invited by Ms. Phaethongtharn Shinawatra, Prime Minister of Thailand, to attend a reception in honor of H.E. Mr. Prabowo Subianto, President of the Republic of Indonesia, during his official visit to Thailand as a guest of the government. This visit marks 20 years since the last visit and celebrates the 75th anniversary of Thai-Indonesian diplomatic relations at the Santimaitri Building (Exterior) of the Government House.
During this visit to Thailand, both leaders held an extensive discussion under the Leaders’ Consultation mechanism, which Thailand has initiated to encourage regular discussions between leaders. This aims to expedite cooperation between the two countries in various areas, especially security, trade and investment, food security, tourism, education, people-to-people exchanges, and regional cooperation. They also witnessed the signing ceremony of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between Thai and Indonesian agencies, specifically the MOU between the Thai Ministry of Public Health and the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia on health cooperation.
Regarding economic relations, in 2024, trade between Thailand and Indonesia was valued at up to 18 billion U.S. dollars. Given the market size and potential of both countries, there are opportunities for further growth in their economic collaboration in the future.
