เมื่อวันพฤหัสบดีที่ 24 กรกฎาคม 2568 นายวิเชาวน์ รักพงษ์ไพโรจน์ รองประธานสภาอุตสาหกรรมแห่งประเทศไทย (ส.อ.ท.) และประธานสายงานต่างประเทศ พร้อมด้วยนางสาวเพชรรัตน์ เอกแสงกุล รองประธาน ส.อ.ท. และ ดร.ทวีสันต์ วิรัชพงศานนท์ กรรมการสายงานต่างประเทศ เข้าร่วมงานเลี้ยงรับรองเพื่อแสดงความยินดีกับนางสาวเซซิเลีย ซูนิลดา กาลาร์เรตา บาซัน (H.E. Ms. Cecilia Zunilda Galarreta Bazán) เอกอัครราชทูตสาธารณรัฐเปรูประจำประเทศไทย เนื่องในโอกาสครบรอบ 204 ปี วันเอกราชเปรู และครบรอบ 60 ปี ความสัมพันธ์ทางการทูตไทย-เปรู ณ โรงแรม ดิ แอทธินี โฮเทล แบงค็อก
ประเทศไทยและเปรูได้สถาปนาความสัมพันธ์ทางการทูตระหว่างกันเมื่อวันที่ 10 พฤศจิกายน 2508 อีกทั้งยังมีความตกลงว่าด้วยการเป็นหุ้นส่วนทางเศรษฐกิจที่ใกล้ชิดยิ่งขึ้น (Thailand-Peru Closer Economic Partnership: TPCEP) หรือความตกลงการค้าเสรี (FTA) ซึ่งลงนามเมื่อปี 2546 ถือเป็นความตกลงการค้าเสรีฉบับแรกที่ไทยทำกับประเทศในภูมิภาคลาตินอเมริกา เพื่อส่งเสริมและขยายการค้าระหว่างกันให้เติบโตยิ่งขึ้น
On Thursday, July 24, 2025, Mr. Wichai Raksapongphairoj, Vice Chairman of the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI) and Chair of the International Affairs Committee, along with Ms. Petchrattana Aeksangkul, Vice Chairman of the FTI, and Dr. Thavisan Wirachpongsanon, Committee Member of the International Affairs Committee, attended a reception to congratulate H.E. Ms. Cecilia Zunilda Galarreta Bazán, Ambassador of the Republic of Peru to Thailand, on the occasion of the 204th Anniversary of Peru's Independence and the 60th Anniversary of Thai-Peruvian Diplomatic Relations at the Athenee Hotel Bangkok.
Thailand and Peru established diplomatic relations on November 10, 1965, and also have a closer economic partnership agreement (Thailand-Peru Closer Economic Partnership: TPCEP), or free trade agreement (FTA), which was signed in 2003. This agreement represents Thailand's first free trade agreement with a country in the Latin American region, aimed at promoting and expanding trade between the two countries.
