เมื่อวันที่ 7 ตุลาคม 2568 นายวิเชาวน์ รักพงษ์ไพโรจน์ รองประธานสภาอุตสาหกรรมแห่งประเทศไทย (ส.อ.ท.) และนายอสิ ตัณสถิตย์ รองประธาน ส.อ.ท. เข้าร่วมแสดงความยินดีกับ ดร.แอ็นสท์ ไรเชิล (H.E. Dr. Ernst Reichel) เอกอัครราชทูตสหพันธ์สาธารณรัฐเยอรมนีประจำประเทศไทย เนื่องในโอกาส “วันรวมชาติเยอรมนี” (Day of German Unity) โดยภายในงานได้รับเกียรติจากนายสีหศักดิ์ พวงเกตุแก้ว รัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการต่างประเทศ ขึ้นกล่าวแสดงความยินดี ณ โรงแรมคาเปลลา กรุงเทพฯ
ทั้งนี้ ความสัมพันธ์ทางการทูตระหว่างไทยและเยอรมนีเริ่มขึ้นอย่างเป็นทางการเมื่อปี พ.ศ. 2405 ผ่านการจัดทำสนธิสัญญาทางไมตรี การค้า และการเดินเรือ หรือ “สนธิสัญญาออยเลนบวร์ก” ซึ่งนับเป็นจุดเริ่มต้นของมิตรภาพอันยาวนานกว่า 160 ปี ทั้งสองประเทศมีความร่วมมือรอบด้าน ทั้งด้านการเมือง เศรษฐกิจ สังคม วัฒนธรรม และประชาชน
ปัจจุบัน เยอรมนีถือเป็นคู่ค้าและนักลงทุนรายสำคัญของไทยในสหภาพยุโรป และเป็นประเทศผู้นำด้านเทคโนโลยีอุตสาหกรรมและนวัตกรรมขั้นสูง ซึ่งสอดคล้องกับทิศทางการพัฒนาอุตสาหกรรมของไทยภายใต้นโยบาย Thailand 4.0 และการขับเคลื่อนเศรษฐกิจสีเขียวและดิจิทัล
ทั้งนี้ ในฐานะ “หุ้นส่วนเชิงยุทธศาสตร์” (Strategic Partner) ของไทยในภูมิภาคยุโรป เยอรมนีมีบทบาทสำคัญในการสนับสนุนการผลักดันความตกลงการค้าเสรีไทย–สหภาพยุโรป (EU–Thailand FTA) ซึ่งจะเป็นกลไกสำคัญในการขยายโอกาสทางการค้า การลงทุน และความร่วมมือด้านเทคโนโลยีระหว่างไทยกับประเทศสมาชิกสหภาพยุโรปในอนาคต
On October 7, 2025, Mr. Vichawon Ruckphongphairoj, Vice Chairman of the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI), and Mr. Asi Tansathit, Vice Chairman of FTI, attended a congratulatory event for H.E. Dr. Ernst Reichel, Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Thailand, on the occasion of “German Unity Day.” The event was honored by remarks from Mr. Sihasak Phuangketkeaw, Minister of Foreign Affairs, held at the Capella Bangkok Hotel.
The diplomatic relationship between Thailand and Germany officially began in 1862 with the signing of a Treaty of Amity, Commerce, and Navigation, known as the "Treaty of Ölenburg," marking the beginning of a long-standing friendship of over 160 years. The two countries have collaborated across various fields, including politics, economics, society, culture, and people-to-people exchanges.
Currently, Germany is a major trading partner and investor for Thailand within the European Union and is a leader in industrial technology and advanced innovation, which aligns with Thailand's industrial development direction under the Thailand 4.0 policy and the promotion of a green and digital economy.
As a “Strategic Partner” of Thailand in the European region, Germany plays a crucial role in supporting the push for a Free Trade Agreement between Thailand and the European Union (EU–Thailand FTA), which will serve as an important mechanism for expanding opportunities in trade, investment, and technological cooperation between Thailand and EU member states in the future.
