เมื่อวันที่ 10 ตุลาคม 2568 นายวิเชาวน์ รักพงษ์ไพโรจน์ รองประธานสภาอุตสาหกรรมแห่งประเทศไทย (ส.อ.ท.) ได้ร่วมแสดงความยินดีกับ H.E. Mr. Felipe de la Morena Casado เอกอัครราชทูตราชอาณาจักรสเปนประจำประเทศไทย เนื่องในโอกาสวันชาติสเปน โดยภายในงานได้รับเกียรติจากนายวิชาวัฒน์ อิศรภักดี ผู้ช่วยรัฐมนตรีประจำกระทรวงการต่างประเทศ ร่วมกล่าวแสดงความยินดีด้วย ณ โรงแรมเดอะ ริทซ์-คาร์ลตัน กรุงเทพฯ
ทั้งนี้ ไทยและสเปนได้สถาปนาความสัมพันธ์ทางการทูตระหว่างกันตั้งแต่ปี พ.ศ. 2413 ผ่านการลงนามในสนธิสัญญาทางไมตรี การค้า และการเดินเรือระหว่างราชอาณาจักรสยามกับราชอาณาจักรสเปน สเปนถือเป็นหนึ่งในประเทศคู่ค้าที่สำคัญของไทยในภูมิภาคยุโรป มีการแลกเปลี่ยนสินค้าในหลายสาขา อาทิ อาหารทะเลแปรรูป ชิ้นส่วนยานยนต์ เคมีภัณฑ์ และผลิตภัณฑ์เกษตรแปรรูป ขณะที่ภาคเอกชนสเปนมีความสนใจลงทุนในไทยเพิ่มขึ้น โดยเฉพาะด้านพลังงานหมุนเวียนและเทคโนโลยีสิ่งแวดล้อม ซึ่งสอดคล้องกับแนวทางการพัฒนาอุตสาหกรรมยั่งยืนของประเทศไทย สะท้อนถึงมิตรภาพอันยั่งยืนและเจตนารมณ์ร่วมของทั้งสองประเทศในการเสริมสร้างความร่วมมือทางเศรษฐกิจ อุตสาหกรรม และวัฒนธรรมให้แน่นแฟ้นยิ่งขึ้นในอนาคต
On October 10, 2025, Mr. Wichawut Rukphongphairoj, Vice President of the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI), attended the congratulatory event for H.E. Mr. Felipe de la Morena Casado, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Spain to Thailand, on the occasion of Spain's National Day. The event was also honored by Mr. Witchawat Isarapakdee, Assistant Minister to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, who expressed congratulations at The Ritz-Carlton Bangkok.
Thailand and Spain established diplomatic relations in 1870 through the signing of a treaty of friendship, commerce, and navigation between the Kingdom of Siam and the Kingdom of Spain. Spain is considered one of Thailand's important trading partners in Europe, with trade exchanges in various sectors including processed seafood, automobile parts, chemicals, and processed agricultural products. Meanwhile, the Spanish private sector has shown increased interest in investing in Thailand, particularly in renewable energy and environmental technology, which aligns with Thailand's sustainable industrial development goals. This reflects the enduring friendship and joint commitment of both countries to strengthen cooperation in the economic, industrial, and cultural sectors for a more robust partnership in the future.
