เมื่อวันที่ 17 ตุลาคม 2568 นางสาวเพชรรัตน์ เอกแสงกุล รองประธานสภาอุตสาหกรรมแห่งประเทศไทย (ส.อ.ท.) ได้ร่วมแสดงความยินดีกับ ดร.อิสระ เสรีวัฒนวุฒิ เลขาธิการสถาบันพระปกเกล้า และประธานหอการค้าโรมาเนีย–ไทย ในโอกาสที่ได้รับพระราชทานเครื่องราชอิสริยาภรณ์ตระกูล The Order of Industrial and Commercial Merit ชั้น Officer จากรัฐบาลโรมาเนีย โดยพิธีรับมอบจัดขึ้นโดย H.E. Mrs. Daniela-Brîndușa Băzăvan เอกอัครราชทูตราชอาณาจักรโรมาเนียประจำประเทศไทย ณ ทำเนียบเอกอัครราชทูตโรมาเนียประจำประเทศไทย
ดร.อิสระ ถือเป็นคนไทยคนแรกในประวัติศาสตร์ที่ได้รับพระราชทานเครื่องราชอิสริยาภรณ์จากรัฐบาลโรมาเนีย เนื่องจากมีบทบาทสำคัญในการส่งเสริมและพัฒนาความสัมพันธ์ด้านการทูต วัฒนธรรม และเศรษฐกิจระหว่างประเทศไทยและโรมาเนีย ผ่านกิจกรรมและโครงการต่าง ๆ อาทิ การแลกเปลี่ยนข้อมูลเศรษฐกิจ การเชื่อมโยงเครือข่ายธุรกิจ และการส่งเสริมโอกาสทางการค้าและการลงทุนร่วมกัน ซึ่งมีส่วนสำคัญในการขยายความร่วมมือทางเศรษฐกิจระหว่างสองประเทศ
On October 17, 2025, Ms. Pecharat Ekasangkul, Vice President of the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI), extended congratulations to Dr. Isara Seriwattanawut, Secretary-General of the King Prajadhipok's Institute and President of the Romania–Thailand Chamber of Commerce, on the occasion of receiving the honorary title of Officer in the Order of Industrial and Commercial Merit from the Romanian government. The ceremony was held by H.E. Mrs. Daniela-Brîndușa Băzăvan, Ambassador of Romania to Thailand, at the Romanian Embassy in Thailand.
Dr. Isara is recognized as the first Thai citizen in history to receive an honorary title from the Romanian government due to his significant role in promoting and developing diplomatic, cultural, and economic relations between Thailand and Romania through various activities and projects, such as economic data exchange, business network connections, and fostering trade and investment opportunities, which play a crucial part in expanding economic cooperation between the two countries.
