เมื่อวันที่ 27 ตุลาคม 2568 นายชาติชาย พานิชชีวะ รองประธานสภาอุตสาหกรรมแห่งประเทศไทย (ส.อ.ท.) และนางสาวเพชรรัตน์ เอกแสงกุล รองประธาน ส.อ.ท. เข้าร่วมงานวันชาติสาธารณรัฐออสเตรีย พร้อมทั้งมอบกระเช้าดอกไม้แสดงความยินดีกับ H.E. Mr. Wilhelm Donko เอกอัครราชทูตสาธารณรัฐออสเตรียประจำประเทศไทย เนื่องในโอกาสวันชาติออสเตรีย ณ โรงแรมสยามเคมปินสกี้ กรุงเทพฯ
ทั้งนี้ ประเทศไทยและสาธารณรัฐออสเตรียได้สถาปนาความสัมพันธ์ทางการทูตอย่างเป็นทางการตั้งแต่ปี พ.ศ. 2412 และดำเนินความร่วมมือในด้านต่าง ๆ มาอย่างยาวนานกว่า 150 ปี ครอบคลุมทั้งด้านการเมือง เศรษฐกิจ การค้า การลงทุน และวัฒนธรรม โดยเฉพาะอย่างยิ่งด้านการศึกษา ซึ่งทั้งสองประเทศได้จัดตั้งคณะกรรมการร่วมว่าด้วยความร่วมมือทางวิทยาศาสตร์ เทคโนโลยี และศิลปะ รวมถึงมีการจัดตั้งเครือข่ายความร่วมมือระหว่างมหาวิทยาลัยในอาเซียนและยุโรป (ASEAN-European Academic University Network: ASEA-UNINET) โดยมีประเทศไทยเป็นศูนย์กลางของประเทศในภูมิภาคเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้
นอกจากนี้ ในช่วงหลายปีที่ผ่านมา ทั้งสองประเทศยังคงส่งเสริมความร่วมมือระหว่างภาครัฐและเอกชนอย่างต่อเนื่อง อาทิ การหารือในประเด็นเศรษฐกิจสีเขียวและความยั่งยืน ซึ่งเป็นแนวทางสำคัญในการพัฒนาเศรษฐกิจโลกในปัจจุบัน
On October 27, 2025, Mr. Chatchai Panitcharoen, Vice Chairman of the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI), and Ms. Petcharat Aeksangkun, FTI Vice Chairman, attended the National Day celebration of the Republic of Austria and presented a bouquet of flowers to congratulate H.E. Mr. Wilhelm Donko, Ambassador of the Republic of Austria to Thailand, on the occasion of Austria's National Day at the Siam Kempinski Hotel, Bangkok.
Thailand and the Republic of Austria established diplomatic relations officially in 1869 and have engaged in cooperation in various fields for over 150 years, encompassing politics, economics, trade, investment, and culture. Notably, the two countries have established a joint committee for cooperation in science, technology, and the arts, and they have created a collaboration network between universities in ASEAN and Europe (ASEAN-European Academic University Network: ASEA-UNINET), with Thailand serving as the hub for countries in the Southeast Asia region.
Moreover, in recent years, both countries have continued to promote cooperation between the public and private sectors, such as discussions on green economy and sustainability, which are crucial approaches for developing the global economy today.
