เมื่อวันที่ 20 พฤศจิกายน 2568 นางสาวเพชรรัตน์ เอกแสงกุล รองประธานสภาอุตสาหกรรมแห่งประเทศไทย (ส.อ.ท.) เข้าร่วมงานและมอบกระเช้าดอกไม้แสดงความยินดีกับ H.E. Mr. Pedro Zwahlen เอกอัครราชทูตสมาพันธรัฐสวิตเซอร์แลนด์ประจำประเทศไทย เนื่องในโอกาสวันชาติสวิตเซอร์แลนด์ ณ สถานเอกอัครราชทูตสวิตเซอร์แลนด์ประจำประเทศไทย
ทั้งนี้ ประเทศไทยและสมาพันธรัฐสวิตเซอร์แลนด์ได้สถาปนาความสัมพันธ์ทางการทูตอย่างเป็นทางการ ผ่านการลงนามในสนธิสัญญาไมตรีและการค้าระหว่างไทยและสวิตเซอร์แลนด์ เมื่อวันที่ 28 พฤษภาคม พ.ศ. 2474
ตลอดระยะเวลากว่า 90 ปี ทั้งสองประเทศได้ส่งเสริมมิตรภาพและความร่วมมือในหลากหลายมิติ ทั้งด้านเศรษฐกิจ การค้า การลงทุน วิทยาศาสตร์ เทคโนโลยี การศึกษา และนวัตกรรม โดยสวิตเซอร์แลนด์ถือเป็นหนึ่งในคู่ค้าอันดับที่ 2 ของไทยในยุโรป
นอกจากนี้ ไทยและสวิตเซอร์แลนด์ยังได้ลงนามภายใต้ความตกลงเขตการค้าเสรี ไทย–สมาคมการค้าเสรีแห่งยุโรป (EFTA) ในปีที่ผ่านมา ซึ่งจะช่วยส่งเสริมความสัมพันธ์ทางการค้าและการลงทุนของทั้งสองประเทศให้แน่นแฟ้นยิ่งขึ้น
การเข้าร่วมงานในครั้งนี้ ถือเป็นโอกาสสำคัญในการเสริมสร้างเครือข่ายกับภาครัฐและเอกชนของสวิตเซอร์แลนด์ พร้อมทั้งยืนยันความมุ่งมั่นของ ส.อ.ท. ในการทำงานร่วมกันเพื่อขับเคลื่อนความร่วมมือทางเศรษฐกิจ เทคโนโลยี และอุตสาหกรรมระหว่างไทย–สวิตเซอร์แลนด์ให้เติบโตอย่างมั่นคงและยั่งยืนต่อไป
On November 20, 2025, Ms. Pechrrath Eeksaengkul, Vice President of the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI), attended the event and presented a flower basket to congratulate H.E. Mr. Pedro Zwahlen, the Swiss Ambassador to Thailand, on the occasion of Switzerland's National Day at the Swiss Embassy in Thailand.
Thailand and the Swiss Confederation officially established diplomatic relations through the signing of a treaty of friendship and commerce between Thailand and Switzerland on May 28, 1931.
For over 90 years, both countries have promoted friendship and cooperation in various dimensions, including economic, trade, investment, science, technology, education, and innovation, with Switzerland being Thailand's second-largest trading partner in Europe.
Additionally, Thailand and Switzerland signed an agreement under the Free Trade Agreement between Thailand and the European Free Trade Association (EFTA) last year, which will further enhance the trade and investment relations between the two countries.
Participating in this event represents a significant opportunity to strengthen networks with both the public and private sectors of Switzerland, while reaffirming FTI's commitment to working together to drive economic, technological, and industrial cooperation between Thailand and Switzerland for stable and sustainable growth.
