เมื่อวันที่ 15 พฤษภาคม 2567 นายเกรียงไกร เธียรนุกุล ประธานสภาอุตสาหกรรมแห่งประเทศไทย (ส.อ.ท.) เข้าร่วมงาน “The Exhibition of Children Projects and ARCORN Sit-Down Dinner for Donators” ซึ่งจัดโดยมูลนิธิ World Childhood Foundation ร่วมกับ มูลนิธิพิทักษ์และคุ้มครองเด็ก (SafeguardKids Foundation) ของประเทศไทย และบริษัท บิวตี้ เจมส์ (BEAUTY GEMS) ณ ห้องแกรนด์ ฮอลล์ (Grand Hall) บิวตี้ เจมส์ เซนเตอร์ (Beauty Gem Center)
งานดังกล่าวมีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อระดมทุนช่วยเหลือเด็กและเยาวชนในประเทศไทยที่ถูกล่วงละเมิดสิทธิ ผ่านการระดมทุนจากการจำหน่ายเครื่องประดับจากบิวตี้ เจมส์ ภายใต้คอลเลคชั่น “ROYAL ACORN” ซึ่งมีแรงบันดาลใจมาจากสมเด็จพระราชินีซิลเวียแห่งราชอาณาจักรสวีเดน เพื่อนำรายได้ทั้งหมดมอบให้มูลนิธิพิทักษ์และคุ้มครองเด็ก (SafeguardKids Foundation) ผ่านมูลนิธิ World Childhood Foundation องค์กรไม่แสวงหาผลกำไร ที่มีเป้าหมายในการต่อต้านการล่วงละเมิดสิทธิเด็กและเยาวชน
มูลนิธิ World Childhood Foundation ก่อตั้งขึ้นโดยสมเด็จพระราชินีซิลเวียแห่งราชอาณาจักรสวีเดน ด้วยปณิธานที่มุ่งหวังให้เด็กทุกคนปราศจากการโดนคุกคามทางเพศ และการโดนละเมิดสิทธิ ตั้งแต่ปี 2547 จนถึงปัจจุบัน โดยส่งเสริมภารกิจและให้ความช่วยเหลือต่างๆ ภายใต้มูลนิธิ World Childhood Foundation ร่วมกับองค์กรเด็กทั่วโลก
On May 15, 2024, Mr. Kriangkrai Thiennukul, Chairman of the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI), attended the event “The Exhibition of Children Projects and ARCORN Sit-Down Dinner for Donators” organized by the World Childhood Foundation in collaboration with the SafeguardKids Foundation of Thailand and Beauty Gems Co., Ltd. at the Grand Hall of the Beauty Gem Center.
The purpose of the event was to raise funds to assist children and youth in Thailand who have been victims of rights violations through the sale of jewelry from Beauty Gems under the “ROYAL ACORN” collection, inspired by Her Majesty Queen Silvia of the Kingdom of Sweden, with all proceeds donated to the SafeguardKids Foundation via the World Childhood Foundation, a non-profit organization aimed at combating the abuse of children's and youth rights.
The World Childhood Foundation was established by Her Majesty Queen Silvia of the Kingdom of Sweden with the mission to ensure that every child is free from sexual exploitation and rights violations since 2004 to the present day, promoting various missions and support under the World Childhood Foundation in collaboration with child organizations worldwide.
