ดัชนีความเชื่อมั่นภาคอุตสาหกรรมในเดือนกรกฎาคม 2566 อยู่ที่ระดับ 92.3 ปรับตัวลดลง จาก 94.1 ในเดือนมิถุนายน และค่าดัชนีฯต่ำสุดในรอบ 10 เดือน เมื่อพิจารณาองค์ประกอบของค่าดัชนีฯ พบว่าปรับตัวลดลงทุกองค์ประกอบ ทั้งดัชนีฯ คำสั่งซื้อโดยรวม ยอดขายโดยรวม ปริมาณการผลิต ต้นทุนประกอบการ และผลประกอบการ เนื่องจากภาคการผลิตและอุปสงค์สินค้าชะลอตัวลงจากเดือนก่อนหน้า โดยมีปัจจัยเสี่ยงในประเทศมาจากปัญหาหนี้ครัวเรือนที่และค่าครองชีพที่อยู่ในระดับสูง ส่งผลให้กำลังซื้อของครัวเรือนอ่อนแอลง ส่งผลต่อความต้องการบริโภคสินค้าอุตสาหกรรมลดลง ขณะที่อัตราดอกเบี้ยอยู่ในทิศทางขาขึ้น ทำให้ต้นทุนทางการเงินสูงขึ้น นอกจากนี้สถานการณ์ทางการเมืองยังมีความไม่ชัดเจนเกี่ยวกับการจัดตั้งรัฐบาล ส่งผลกระทบต่อความเชื่อมั่นของภาคเอกชน สำหรับปัจจัยเสี่ยงนอกประเทศมาจากเศรษฐกิจโลกที่ยังมีความเปราะบางจากอุปสงค์ในตลาดโลกลดลง ทำให้การส่งออกส่งสัญญาณชะลอตัวติดต่อกันเป็นเดือนที่ 9 ขณะที่เศรษฐกิจจีนที่ขยายตัวต่ำกว่าคาด อย่างไรก็ตามยังมีปัจจัยสนับสนุนจากการขยายตัวของภาคการท่องเที่ยวที่ช่วยพยุงการบริโภคและการใช้จ่ายในประเทศ
The Thai Industries Sentiment Index (TISI) for July 2023 is recorded at 92.3, a decrease from 94.1 in June, representing the lowest index value in the past 10 months. An analysis of the index components shows a decline across all facets, including the overall order index, overall sales, production volume, operational costs, and profitability. This decline is attributed to a slowdown in the manufacturing sector and consumer demand compared to the previous month. Domestic risk factors include high household debt and elevated living costs, which have weakened household purchasing power and consequently reduced industrial product consumption. Additionally, rising interest rates have increased financial costs. The political situation also remains uncertain regarding government formation, affecting private sector confidence. External risks stem from a fragile global economy, with decreasing demand in global markets leading to a continuous slowdown in exports for the ninth consecutive month. The Chinese economy is also expanding below expectations. Nonetheless, there are supportive factors from the growth in the tourism sector, which helps sustain domestic consumption and spending.
