- การแก้ไขปัญหาความเดือดร้อนของสมาชิกในประเด็นที่เกี่ยวข้องกับกฎหมาย และกฎระเบียบต่าง ๆ
หน้าที่และความรับผิดชอบของหน่วยงาน
- ศึกษาและผลักดันการพัฒนากฎหมายอย่างเป็นระบบและต่อเนื่องเพื่อการพัฒนาอุตสาหกรรมและเศรษฐกิจของประเทศ และศึกษาและผลักดันให้มีการแก้ไขปรับปรุงระบบและโครงสร้างภาษีอากรให้ทันสมัย เพื่อเสริมสร้างศักยภาพและขีดความสามารถในการแข่งขันของประเทศ
- ติดตาม ศึกษามาตรการทางการค้าต่าง ๆ เช่น มาตรการตอบโต้การทุ่มตลาด เป็นต้น รวมทั้งกฎว่าด้วยแหล่งกำเนิดสินค้า เพื่อเผยแพร่ให้สมาชิกได้รับทราบ ตลอดจนรับเรื่องร้องเรียนจากสมาชิกเพื่อหาแนวทางให้ความช่วยเหลือสมาชิก และกำหนดเป็นจุดยืนของสภาอุตสาหกรรมฯ ในการนำเสนอหน่วยงานราชการที่เกี่ยวข้อง
- ศึกษารายละเอียดผลกระทบที่เกี่ยวข้องด้านภาษีอากรในข้อกฎหมาย เงื่อนไข หลักเกณฑ์ และแนวปฏิบัติของหน่วยงานต่าง ๆ เช่น กรมสรรพากร กรมสรรพสามิต กรมศุลกากร และหน่วยงานส่วนท้องถิ่น รวมทั้งศึกษาโครงสร้างพิกัดอัตราศุลกากรตามกรอบการค้าทวิภาคี และพหุภาคีต่าง ๆ เช่น FTA ASEAN หรือ WTO
- ให้ความเห็นในเรื่องที่เกี่ยวกับสิทธิและหน้าที่ของสมาชิกที่อาจเกิดขึ้นอันเนื่องมาจากกฎหมาย ข้อบังคับ หรือระเบียบภายในของสภาอุตสาหกรรมฯ
- เผยแพร่ความรู้เกี่ยวกับกฎหมายที่เกี่ยวข้องกับการประกอบธุรกิจให้แก่สมาชิก รวมถึงการแก้ไขปัญหากฎหมายที่มีผลกระทบต่อสมาชิกส่วนรวม อบรมความรู้เกี่ยวกับกฎหมาย และนโยบายภาษีอากร มาตรการทางการค้า รวมทั้งกฎว่าด้วยแหล่งกำเนิดสินค้าแก่สมาชิกได้รับทราบ เพื่อการปฏิบัติที่ถูกต้องและเพื่อเป็นการสนับสนุนขีดความสามารถในการแข่งขันในเวทีการค้าระหว่างประเทศของสมาชิก รวมทั้งดำเนินการแก้ไขปัญหาด้านภาษีอากรและมาตรการทางการค้าที่มีผลกระทบต่อสมาชิกส่วนรวม
- ประสานงานกับหน่วยราชการต่าง ๆ ที่เกี่ยวข้องและเสนอผู้แทนเข้าร่วมเป็นกรรมการในคณะกรรมการต่าง ๆ ของหน่วยงานภาครัฐและภาคเอกชน

To be a central hub of information regarding laws and regulations in business operations, as well as to study, recommend, and promote the systematic and continuous development of laws to enhance the overall industrial and economic development of the country.
Mission
- Monitor laws that impact the business and industrial sectors.
- Advocate for the government to reform laws that hinder business, trade, and industry operations.
- Disseminate legal knowledge and regulations to members.
- Provide legal opinions related to the business and industrial sectors.
- Address members' grievances regarding issues related to laws and regulations.
Duties and Responsibilities of the Agency
- Research and promote the systematic and continuous development of laws for the advancement of industry and the economy of the country, and study and advocate for modernizing the tax system and structure to enhance the potential and competitiveness of the country.
- Monitor and study various trade measures, such as anti-dumping measures, as well as rules regarding the origin of goods, to inform members and address complaints from members to find ways to assist them and establish a stance for the FTI in presenting to relevant government agencies.
- Study the detailed impacts related to taxation in legal provisions, conditions, criteria, and practices of various agencies, such as the Revenue Department, Excise Department, Customs Department, and local authorities, as well as investigate the customs tariff structure under bilateral and multilateral trade frameworks, such as ASEAN FTA or WTO.
- Provide opinions concerning the rights and duties of members that may arise due to laws, regulations, or internal rules of the FTI.
- Disseminate knowledge about laws related to business operations to members, including addressing legal issues that affect members as a whole, training in legal knowledge, tax policy, trade measures, and rules regarding the origin of goods to ensure correct practices and support members' competitiveness in the international trade arena, as well as resolve taxation issues and trade measures that impact the members collectively.
- Coordinate with relevant government agencies and propose representatives to serve as committee members in various boards of public and private agencies.
