พันธกิจ
เป็นกลไกรองรับการขับเคลื่อนอุตสาหกรรมไทยด้วยวิทยาศาสตร์ เทคโนโลยี และนวัตกรรม (Demand-Driven Research and Innovation)
หน้าที่และความรับผิดชอบของหน่วยงาน
- รวบรวมและวิเคราะห์ปัญหา ความต้องการ และโอกาสของผู้ประกอบการภาคอุตสาหกรรม เพื่อแปลง Industrial Pain Point ให้เป็นโจทย์ด้านการวิจัยและนวัตกรรมที่ขับเคลื่อนโดยภาคอุตสาหกรรม (Industry-Driven Research)
- เชื่อมโยงและบูรณาการความร่วมมือแบบครบวงจร ระหว่างผู้ประกอบการกับเทคโนโลยี ทุนวิจัย นักวิจัย สถาบันการศึกษา สถาบันวิจัย Startup ผู้เชี่ยวชาญ และพันธมิตรทั้งในและต่างประเทศ ที่สามารถนำไปสู่การแก้ไขปัญหาตอบโจทย์ Industry-Driven Research ของภาคอุตสาหกรรมได้จริง ครอบคลุมตั้งแต่ การจับคู่ความร่วมมือ (Matching) การถ่ายทอดเทคโนโลยี การทดสอบและพิสูจน์ต้นแบบ (Pilot Testing and Validation) การบริหารจัดการทรัพย์สินทางปัญญา (IP Management) การสรรหาเทคโนโลยี (Technology Scouting) ตลอดจนการเชื่อมโยงธุรกิจและการพัฒนาความร่วมมือเชิงพาณิชย์
- สนับสนุนการพัฒนาระบบนิเวศ แพลตฟอร์มและเครือข่ายนวัตกรรมอุตสาหกรรม รวมทั้งการสร้างสรรค์ผลงานวิจัยเชิงประยุกต์และสิ่งพิมพ์ด้านนวัตกรรม เพื่อยกระดับขีดความสามารถในการแข่งขันของอุตสาหกรรมไทยในระยะยาว พร้อมติดตามและประเมินผล เพื่อยกระดับ Productivity, Competitiveness และ Sustainability และสร้าง Economic Impact ให้เกิดขึ้นอย่างเป็นรูปธรรม

Mission
To be a mechanism supporting the drive of the Thai industry through science, technology, and innovation (Demand-Driven Research and Innovation)
Responsibilities of the Organization
- Collect and analyze the problems, needs, and opportunities of industrial operators to transform Industrial Pain Points into research and innovation challenges driven by the industry (Industry-Driven Research)
- Link and integrate comprehensive collaboration between operators with technology, research funding, researchers, educational institutions, research institutes, startups, experts, and partners both domestically and internationally that can lead to practical solutions addressing the Industry-Driven Research challenges of the industry. This includes everything from partnership matching, technology transfer, pilot testing and validation, intellectual property management, technology scouting, to linking businesses and developing commercial cooperation.
- Support the development of ecosystems, platforms, and innovation networks in the industry, as well as the creation of applied research outputs and publications on innovation to enhance the competitiveness of the Thai industry in the long term, along with monitoring and evaluating efforts to elevate Productivity, Competitiveness, and Sustainability, and to create tangible Economic Impact.
